COMPLEKS K-4

The additive improves the properties of masonry and plaster mortars, maintains workability, prevents sand settlement, segregation, and bleeding. It is used as a lime substitute in cement mortars and as a plasticizer when river sand is used instead of pit sand.

Purpose:
Used for the production of simple and complex cement mortars, including those with fly ash or perlite, as well as for low-grade concrete mixes intended for pumping.

Usage:
Add to the concrete or mortar mix together with mixing water. Stir thoroughly before use. The amount of additive is calculated according to the dosage (see below). Subsequent concreting or use of mortars is carried out following standard technological procedures.

Dosage:
The additive should be dosed for cement systems, concretes, and mortars in the form of a ready-to-use aqueous concentrate in the container in which it is sold, in the following quantities:

  • For heavy concretes to increase frost resistance: from 0.1 L per 1 m³ of finished mix.
  • For lightweight aggregate concrete to reduce density and improve plasticity: from 0.5 L per 1 m³ of finished mix.
  • For foam concrete using the two-stage technology to improve structure and plasticity: from 0.3 L per 100 kg of binder in the cement mix.
  • As a lime substitute in cement building mortars: from 0.75 L per 1 m³ of finished mortar.
  • For thermal insulation mortars: from 2.5 L per 1 m³ of finished mix.

Optimal dosage should be determined in the laboratory for each specific technological case.

For mechanical dosing, it is preferable to introduce it together with the mixing water using a water dispenser. Pre-mixing with water does not reduce the additive’s quality but requires adjustment of the additive amount after dilution.

Recommendations:
The dosing container must be clean and have a precisely fixed volume.

Safety rules:
Avoid contact of the additive with the mouth or food products. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse thoroughly with water.
